Genghis Khan, he is a hero who united the whole nation of Mongolian, who was the most respectable figure in Mongolia or ancient China.
Mongolian men are considered the most masculine or macho. Mongolian women are depicted brave, contributive, supportive and loyal to their husbands. The flat, endless grassland and desert granted Mongolians both the quality of toughness and genuineness.
Mongolian society is indeed a male-oriented society, in which violence and strength are priority to anything else. Unlike many other peoples in Orient, Mongolians are straight, always solving their problems by physical battle. It is a great pride for men to be endowed with undefeated power.
There is a scene in the movie that Genghis was selecting his would-be wife. By the standard of Mongolians’ aesthetic value, girls with big feet, small eyes, round face are the idealistic wives for Mongolian men. I wonder how the criteria of beauties in Mongolians could be so different from that of other Chinese nations. What impressed me is that Genghis chose the one who went exactly the opposite, which proved to be an in dispensable for his success. He got the right one to be his wife.

I just read a piece of news that: if we use mobile phone before going to bed or leave it next to your head, it is bad for our health, and it will cause insomnia and headaches.
According to academic study, it will cause damage to human’s health because of radiation from the handset. What is worse, lack of enough sleep can lead to depression and aprosexia on study and daily work.
Everyone will agree that it is very nice to have a night chat in bed before fall asleep. Also it is very convenient for us to pick up the phone and check the time. Actually I do the same thing before sleeping nearly every night and then just turn off the mobile phone and put it next to the pillow. But we do something wrong. We are gradually affected .Sometimes I feel hard to fall asleep for a long time and it makes me sleepy during the daytime.
How many of you get the same experience as mine? And do you agree with this?

How to make your handheld run more smoothly with fewer breakdowns?
Posted in General, Technology by lucy | No CommentsAs many nowadays cellphone users, I use my Nokia 6682 to do a lot of things: make phone calls, play games, watch video, play mini games, listen to MP3, track my portfolio, browse news, manage my calendar, and many many other things. I have installed a dozen of applications on my phone, such as Quickoffice, MobFinance, and RssNews … They are great software, I use Quickoffice to work on my publications and articles; I use MobFinance to manage my investment portfolio and track my net assets; and I use ‘RssNews!’ to browse online sports and business news.
One of the most popular problems when a handheld is equipped with so many applications is that sometimes it becomes very slow when multiple applications are running or switching from one application to another. It really baffles me whenever there is a white screen or breakdown happens. I have been keenly looking for something that can help my Nokia run faster and more efficient. Till now I am finally able to relive my pain with an amazing software application designed for Symbian-based handhelds, including Nokia, Motorola, Erricsson and more.
The name of the software is MemoryUp developed by eMobiStudio.com. What MemoryUp does is to take control of JVM for each mobile system, smartly analyze running J2ME programs (including hidden programs), automatically allocate and recover respective occupied RAM, and boost system to its best performance. In case of some applications are no longer active on a smartphone or BlackBerry, MemoryUp can reclaim lost resources and put them to better use. By reclaiming resources, the mobile system does not need to access the hard drive as frequently. This will greatly enhance mobile phone’s overall performance. It provides full support for Symbian S60 2nd & 3rd, and BlackBerry.
I have been using MemoryUp for about three weeks now. It is so amazing that I have not experienced a single breakdown, which used to be 2-3 times a week. Also the performance of my phone has been improved remarkably, and I am thrilled to see all other programs can run so smoothly. I am very happy about it so far. The only drawback is that if you have a very large memory chip (I have a 1GB), it might take up to 3 -5 minutes to run a thorough optimization. But it is definitely worthwhile.

For every festival there would be a problem on the presents. Different people prefer different things. If you are going to send various gifts to lots of people, that’s a hard job.
First of all you have to figure out every one’s habit. Who likes playing basketball, who prefers jogging, and who enjoys cooking?
Then you have to know what things they already hold. No one would be happy to have the same thing as the gift. This job is even hard. We are not spies, if we are not very familiar with each other, how can we know what they already have?
OK now you know what you are going buy. Then you have to check your wallet to see if it is thick enough to pay all these. Maybe that’s the hardest part of all these?
No matter I believe it or not, Roy has feeling for Angela, and Angela knows nothing about it, that’s something we can’t deny.
Roy is my good friend, even I just know him for no more than 2 years. From the first moment I saw him, I consider him as a cute and unconcerned boy. The scene that he helped me to carry my heavy luggage is still so clear to me. When he smiles, he really looks like a child. And he is so easy going. When I introduced Angela to him, they quickly get along with each other. After that, we get together a lot.
But I never know that he will have special emotion for her. He seems to go around well with lots of girls. And he continues dating other girls for these two years. When we are together, we will talk about everything, including Roy’s girlfriend.
Roy still didn’t contact me. I don’t know what he will do. Can we three be the same again?
