Some people hold a value that life should keep its purity and not be stained; while others had a faith that life is supposed to be prolonged in whatever way so as to struggle for an ideal.
The Jewish restaurant boss, Geigenspieler, saved another man who had been in his restaurant everyday for years only in order to see Ilonas, but he finally died because of the man who also loved Ilonas. This reminded me of the story of the farmer and the snake. Hence, don’t be too tolerant as a man for someday the one you saved may in turn kill you.
What impressed me most in the movie is the beautiful scenery in the city of Budapest. Budapest, the capital of Poland, was said to be the quietest capital in the world. In China, people are fond of skyscrapers which they think is the sign of modern, but such high buildings can make people dizzy and depressed. I guess it must be quite fantastic to live a satisfied life in such a city without many skyscrapers. In my lifetime, I swear, I’m sure to go there whether to live or only travel.

Today was the first day of the National Day of Mourning, which will last for three days. This morning I got up very early. After having a quick breakfast, I found myself a quiet place to do some morning readings. And then I spent the following hours in the library doing some study. During this busy period of time, I shortly forgot my sorrow.
When I came back to my dormitory after having lunch, it was half past one. I got to know that we Chinese students would gather together outside the girls’ dormitory at 2 o’clock mourning for the victims of Wenchuan earthquake. The sun was really scorching, but we knew that under the ardent sun thousands of soldiers and volunteers were fighting in the quake-hit area to save the lives of people who were crushed under fallen buildings. Why didn’t us dare to stand in the burning sunlight?
At 2:28, with horn blaring and ASW alarming, every people were in silence, sad and sorry. We were sincerely showing our sorrow to the dead and praying for the lives that were in critical danger.

Today I listen to a music program from CRI which usually introduces renowned musicians in China. The figure this volume referred to is Rene Liu (Liu Ruoying).
The most widespread song of her is Backforward (I translate it this way all on my own). Her voice is so soft and sweet that her fans all call her “milk tea”.
Bathed in the western or foreign music for so long, I came back to Chinese song and eventually fall in love with it once more. I wonder if it is good or not for me, as an English major.
Learning English is more than listening, speaking, reading and writing. What’s more important, in my opinion, is thinking in English. Listening to English song is a way to get in touch with western culture.” Music expresses its times.” As Sociologist Irving Horowitz tells us, music also illustrates its language in a unique way.
I am a keen lover of music, I used to think so.
But at times, I think, I am obsessed by a song usually as a result of the language of the lyrics. I am a foreign language learner, undoutfully. Somebody once told me that language is always closely likened to music like brothers. Many students and faculty in our arena are capable of singing songs very melodiously.

When I hear the sad news over the radio,
when I read latest news from Internet,
I am touched, but what can I do?    
How to help them?I feel so helpless.    
Tonight our dorm turned off the light
in order to express our sarrow and pray for  these who are still in danger.  
But to my surprise,
many students in my college were so excited that I did not feel their sadness!    
They shouted as if there was a happy event.  
Well,  I don’t know what to say…
I am so tired to write this.

Just as Luxun depicted in his fiction?hometown, “I’ve long heard of the name of Runtu, and I am the same age with him, for he was born in the leap year, thus his father called him Runtu.
In my childhood, I was very depressed at my teacher told us that Runtu was dramatically changed after departed from Luxun’s hometown (actually, I intended to assimilate “I” in the novel to “Lu Xun”).
Several years later, I still feel the things happen on myself, my former good friend become another Runtu. We were good friends, we talked everything besides us, 5 years later, no more. Everything changed into formal, predictable and discreet articulate parole, thus, true friendship can hardly be traced.
People say, one can be changed after he went through a lot of circumstance, his character can be dominated by power, money and many other things, but when we were young, we may remain our dignity at least.
Whatever, the things changed not myself.

According to the planned route ,the relay will cover 137,000km in 130 days before the flame finally arrives at the National Stadium in Beijing on August 8.2008, involving a total of 21,780 torchbearers.

I just read a piece of news that: if we use mobile phone before going to bed or leave it next to your head, it is bad for our health, and it will cause insomnia and headaches.
According to academic study, it will cause damage to human’s health because of radiation from the handset. What is worse, lack of enough sleep can lead to depression and aprosexia on study and daily work.
Everyone will agree that it is very nice to have a night chat in bed before fall asleep. Also it is very convenient for us to pick up the phone and check the time. Actually I do the same thing before sleeping nearly every night and then just turn off the mobile phone and put it next to the pillow. But we do something wrong. We are gradually affected .Sometimes I feel hard to fall asleep for a long time and it makes me sleepy during the daytime.
